Police confirm a coroner’s inquest will be held to look into the deaths of 8-year-old Brandi Wingert, and the 38-year-old man police say is responsible for killing her earlier this week.
They say that the young girl died at her Donald Street home during a domestic dispute between her mother and her mother’s ex-boyfriend, who also died after a standoff with police.
Coroner’s inquests are held with the aim of preventing similar tragedies from happening in the future.
Funeral services for Brandi Wingert are being held Monday morning at St. Agnes Church.
