New problems for suspended Senator Mike Duffy as the RCMP have laid 31 charges against him including bribery, fraud and breach of trust.
It relates back to his senate expenses which have come under scrutiny.
Lakehead University political science professor Laure Paquette says this can’t be good for Prime Minister Stephen Harper a year before we go to the polls.
Paquette says that Duffy was appointed a Senator by the Prime Minister, which won’t help the Conservatives heading into election time.
Paquette predicts the Conservatives will have a tough time leading up to the federal vote.
