Some of Thunder Bay’s top NHL stars are again going to be in the city for the annual Freedom 55 Financial Hockey Celebrity Golf Classic.
Organizer Tom Mihaljevic says 27 teams will take part in the event which raises up to 55 thousand dollars each year for local cancer research.
He says so far, the Exceptional Cancer Care Campaign at the Regional Health Science’s Centre has received 310 thousand dollars from the event.
Mihaljavic says this year’s spokesperson is Carter Hutton of the Nashville Predators, who is expected to invite some of his NHL friends to participate.
The tournament happens July 25th at Whitewater Golf Course.
