City Police are investigating an aggravated assault which occurred last night around 9 pm on the 800 block of McLaughlin Street.
The victim is in hospital in the intensive care unit.
Police have one person in custody.
The scene is being held while they continue to investigate.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
