8 New Cases, One At District Jail

Number of active COVID-19 cases staying almost consistent for Thunder Bay’s District Health unit.

It says there are eight new ones for Thursday, but seven people are listed as resolved.

Of the new ones, one is at the district jail, two got it after travelling outside the region, one from close contact with someone else with COVID-19, and four are pending results.

Health unit adds there are now 84 active, with three in hospital, two in intensive care.

The district is at 697 people infected since last March when the pandemic started, with 23 deaths.

The province is recording 3,326 more infected, and 62 deaths today.
