6 people, 3 from the GTA facing drug trafficking charges

Six people including three Greater Toronto Area residents are facing drug-related charges following an investigation in Thunder Bay.

City and provincial police officers searched a home on Syndicate Avenue North on Wednesday afternoon.

During the search police seized suspected cocaine and fentanyl as well as cash.

As a result, a 50-year-old, 39-year-old, and 38-year-old from Thunder Bay, and a 18 and 19-year-old from Brampton as well as a 17-year-old from Toronto are facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (Fentanyl)
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000

The 50-year-old from Thunder Bay was also charged with breach of a release order while the 38-year-old from Thunder Bay was also charged with breach of probation.

The accused appeared in court on Thursday, and remain in custody with future court dates.
