315 Active Cases, One Death

The Thunder Bay District reports the 29th death associated with coronavirus.

The breakdown of the 33 new cases:

  • 17 cases obtained from someone else who had the virus
  • Seven cases have no known exposure cause
  • Eight case causes are pending
  • One case associated with the Thunder Bay District Jail Outbreak

In the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre 22 patients have are being treated at the COVID-19 ward with as many as six in the Intensive Care Unit.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit also says that 21 cases have been resolved.

The new cases means the active count is up to 315.

Ontario reports 1,138 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 23 deaths.
