3 arrested in Fort Albany drug bust

Three people have been arrested following a pair of drug busts on the Fort Albany First Nation.

Police say they executed search warrants on residences on Riverside Road and Third Street.

In one, they seized some Suboxone tablets, cash, a shotgun with ammunition, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

In the other bust officers found fentanyl, Crystal Methamphetamine, cash, and other drug trafficking items.

Two 41-year-old men and a 37-year-old woman face a number of charges including trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

All have been released from custody pending future court dates.
