North Side Raid Nets Drugs, Handgun

A pair were arrested following a raid of a north side home.

Thunder Bay Police arrested an 18-year-old from Montreal and a 40-year-old from Thunder Bay after searching the home on Picton Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

Fentanyl, cocaine, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, and a loaded handgun was all secured.

The drugs collected have an estimated street value of $185,000.

Both suspects appeared in bail court on Thursday and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
