No injuries but a north end home sustained heavy damage to the second floor.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue (TBFR) responded to the multiple alarm fire on Lake Street at approximately 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.
Crews discovered that the flames and smoke were emanating from a kitchen on the Charlie side of the building.
People were seen leaving shortly before the call came in to TBFR.
