Officer Assaulted In Spencer Road Arrest

A 27-year-old Thunder Bay man will be back before a judge to answer for several charges, including Assaulting a Peace Officer.

The uniformed official sustained injuries after the suspect was brought to the TBPS headquarters on Sunday.

He was originally picked up around 5:00 p.m. at a house on Spencer Road near Louis Street following a reported disturbance.

Police located another individual, who appeared to have been the victim of a recent assault.

They did not require medical attention for their injuries.

The other charges include:

  • Assault with Weapon
  • Assaulting Peace Officer Causing Bodily Harm
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order
  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
