Three From Thunder Bay Facing Drug Charges

A thwarted home takeover bid led Thunder Bay Police to lay several charges against three locals.

Officers suspect that the house on Syndicate Avenue North near Cumming Street was being used as a drug house.

The individuals were apprehended on the morning of December 22nd and unbeknownst to the home owner were conducting drug-trafficking activities.

Police raided the property and collected suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, illicit cannabis, oxycodone, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

A 26-year-old along with a 34 and a 49-year-old from Thunder Bay all appeared in bail court on December 23rd and will be back before a judge at a later date.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
