Getting Tested For COVID-19 Before Coming Back To Canada

You’ll have to get a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test before coming back into Canada.

Starting Tuesday, December 21st, all incoming travellers regardless of trip location or length will need to provide proof of the test conducted in another country.

The Federal Government has also announced that they are lifting the travel ban on 10 African countries as of Saturday, December 18th.

This comes of the heels of Wednesday’s advisory to cancel or postpone travel plans in response to the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

On November 19th, the test was axed for short trips down to the United States.
