Deadlines for vaccination against COVID-19 for high school student athletes.
Unless an athlete has a board approved medical exemption, students must show proof of their first dose by Monday, December 6 followed by their second dose by Monday, January 31.
In a release Thursday, officials with the Superior Secondary Schools Athletic Association stress that vaccinations are necessary to compete against other schools or travel off school property for all co-curricular sports activities.
The rule applies for Lakehead Public Schools, the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire de district catholique des Aurores boréales, and Dennis Franklin Cromarty School.
