Local Among Five Arrested In South End Raid

A 36-year-old man from Thunder Bay picked up by police in a raid on a south side apartment.

Officers arrested five, including Toronto youths, at the North Marks Street residence between Victoria Avenue East and Miles Street East Monday afternoon.

Police picked up a loaded handgun as well as suspected crack cocaine, suspected crystal methamphetamine, cash, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

The charges include:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm without a Licence
  • Possession of a Firearm with Knowledge its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted without Registration Certificate
  • Prohibited or Restricted Firearm: with Ammunition

All five appeared in bail court Tuesday and will be back in court at a future date.
