Police Pick Up Hit And Run Suspect

A 39-year-old Thunder Bay man faces multiple charges after crashing into a hydro pole and south side home.

Police were called to the house on Broadway Avenue near Glenwood Crescent just before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, October 8th.

The driver of the pick up truck was travelling in excess of 128 km/h in an area where the posted maximum speed limit was 50 km/h.

The accused will be back in court at a later date to answer for the charges of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Stop After Accident.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
