First COVID-19 Cases Found At Neskantaga

A State of Emergency has been declared in Neskantaga First Nation over cases of COVID-19.

For the first time since the pandemic started, the community confirms a positive case was determined Wednesday by Sioux Lookout health authorities, and two subsequent Thursday.

Contact tracing found it came from an outside contractor working in the community.

Chief Wayne Moonias says they are strengthening COVID-19 protocols, and asking for government help.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
