The province is seeing a big jump in COVID-19 cases, confirming 4,456 new positive tests.
Over three-quarters of those are in hot spots in southern Ontario.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced Saturday that it would stop releasing COVID-19 updates on Sundays, so today’s numbers will be announced tomorrow.
The Northwestern Health Unit added one new case today in the Sioux Lookout area, which had 34 active infections as of Saturday.
As the vaccine rollout continues, Health Minister Christine Elliott says Ontario has administered over three-million doses.
Ontario is reporting 4,456 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 56,400 tests completed. Locally, there are 1,353 new cases in Toronto, 860 in Peel, 444 in York Region, 377 in Ottawa and 329 in Durham.
