A 19-year-old Thunder Bay man is charged with assault after a video recording the incident was posted online.
Thunder Bay police say it was earlier in the week when they became aware of the undated video, which they believe was recorded Sunday, April 4th showing a man attacking a vulnerable person.
The assault was not initially reported to police.
Police arrested the suspect Thursday morning, who appeared in court and remains in custody while awaiting another court appearance Friday.
Police also point out vulnerable people are less likely to report when they are a victim of crime, and therefore encourage people to tell police on their behalf.
