Outbreak Over At Pioneer Ridge LTC Home

The local health unit and the city declare that the COVID-19 outbreak is over at the Pioneer Ridge LTC home.

A staff member tested positive for the novel coronavirus back on December 18th; Subsequently an additional member of the staff also had a positive test for COVID-19.

Consistent with provincial guidelines, an outbreak is declared in a long-term care home when one staff or resident is found to be positive for COVID-19.

No other staff or residents at Pioneer Ridge have tested positive for COVID-19, as confirmed through follow-up surveillance testing.
