Couple Still Struggles With Virus Impact

The lingering effects of COVID-19 have not left a Thunder Bay couple after they were diagnosed in April.

After getting the virus from her husband, Tammy Mills reveals what the last year has been like since going into the resolved category by the health unit. “They told us that we’d have the residual cough after we had the COVID. By summer, we still had it, and that’s when I went to the doctor and she ended up putting me on a puffer.”

Her husband Alf has a sobering message.

He says he rarely leaves the house to avoid spreading or catching anything.

“Usually I sleep six or seven hours, if that. And I’m up and I’m raring to go, and I’m full of energy. I haven’t been that way for a long time now. I’ve been sleeping 8 to 10 hours, dragging my feet to get up and do anything,” says the local man.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
