Update 3pm, Thursday:
Police report they have a suspect in custody in connection with the investigation.
A 24-year-old Thunder Bay man has been identified as the suspect, who was also the accused in an unrelated disturbance earlier that evening.
Continued investigation led police to a residential address on McLeod Street where they arrested the man.
He is expected to appear in bail court tomorrow and will likely face charges of
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Dangerous Driving
- Flight from Police
- Breach of a Judicial Release Order
Update 9am, Thursday:
You’re being asked by Thunder Bay police to try to avoid an east end area as they investigate an incident involving a stolen vehicle.
It all started when they were called to an area near John Street Road and Boulter just before 1:30 Thursday morning, concerning reports a vehicle had been stolen from the scene of a collision.
Police say they identified a suspect, a 24-year-old Thunder Bay man, who was also the accused in another, unrelated disturbance earlier in the evening.
Investigation lead police to McLeod Street, where they remain.
