New COVID Restrictions For The District Today

Starting today the Thunder Bay district has been moved to yellow in the province’s so called framework in responding to COVID-19.

Restaurant and bars restrictions include not serving alcohol past 11 pm, confining the amount of people seated together to six, requiring contact information for all seated patrons, and limiting the volume which music can be played at to that of a normal conversation.

For recreational facilities it means controlling the number of people in a room and the spacing between them.

Masks are mandatory but not while exercising.

It also requires getting contact information for team sports.

Events and social gatherings will be limited to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.

Organized public events and gatherings will be limited to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors.
