First COVID-19 Case On Neskantaga First Nation

A full lockdown of Neskantaga First Nation after the first case of the novel coronavirus is confirmed.

Chief Chris Moonias says he was informed of the positive case involving a contractor working in the community.

The lockdown means passenger flights are grounded until an investigation is conducted.

Moonias notes despite the case, the risk to community members still on site is low as contractors were kept separate.
