Health Inspections Begin Next Week

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is starting an intense inspection campaign.

It says “In the coming days public health inspectors will begin visiting every food and drink establishment in Thunder Bay and the district to conduct COVID-19 compliance assessments.”

It will be to make sure these places are adhering to prevention and control measures.

Officials explain it is “To ensure operators are implementing practices to keep staff and customers safe.”

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janet DeMille is also urging patrons of these places to do their part as well and obey the health rules including wearing a face mask and providing contact information.

The inspections are going to start on Monday.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
