A bit more good news for Canada’s economy.
Statistics Canada says it grew by 1.2 per cent in August, which is the fourth straight month of G-D-P increases after steep drops in March and April.
But overall economic activity was still about five per cent below levels we saw pre-pandemic in February.
Both goods-producing and services-producing industries were up as 15 of 20 industrial sectors posted increases.
Meanwhile, preliminary information suggests real G-D-P grew by 1% in September, pointing to an approximate 10 per cent increase in the third quarter.
