A virtual vigil will honour missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two Spirit people this afternoon.
The Native Women’s Association of Canada is holding its annual Sisters in Spirit event online, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern time.
Anyone taking part in the vigil is invited to light a candle in your home window and post supportive messages on your window or social media.
The event also hopes to support grieving families and call for action to end violence against Indigenous girls, women, and Two Spirit people.
