The professional sports world has fallen silent again, this time not for COVID-19, but racial injustice.
First it was the Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA refusing to play, and Thursday night the rest of the league followed suit, including the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics refusing play their playoff series.
It is a result of the police shooting of black man Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.
The NHL playoffs are on hold until Saturday, with playoffs postponed, including the Vancouver Canucks and Las Vegas not resuming their series.
It has also reached baseball, as Toronto Blue Jays and Boston didn’t play yesterday. It remains to be seen what will happen with today’s schedule.
