Lake of the Woods brewery is very happy with customers in Thunder Bay.
The company’s director of marketing, Josh Graham, tells us this city has lead the way for sales even during the pandemic, and credits the work he saw by the city and local businesses when he was recently here. “The patio on Red River Road was something else to see.”
Graham adds the brewery’s brand fits Thunder Bay well, which he actually still considers local in the face of northern Ontario geography. Having worked in different parts of the province, he is impressed with how Thunder Bay is making effort for restaurants, such as the Streetery on Red River Road.
“I come from the Muskoka brewery, where I was once the rep for northern Ontario, and see Thunder Bay. You’ve got a really nice business and strong partnerships,” Graham points out.
The beer company’s director of marketing adds even though there are many communities between Thunder Bay and Kenora, where the company is based out of, the Lakehead is a big market.
“We’re just seeing the doors open back up and restaurants having the ability to reconsider having either a full menu, or full staff back on. But it’s safe to say there’s a lot of people who like drinking our beer there,” says Graham.
He says the last month of sales were the best Lake of the Woods has ever seen.
