MPP Pleased With Bombardier Contract

It’s a good sign for the future of Bombardier.

Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Judith Monteith-Farrell says a new contract for the local plant is a positive development.

“I was in touch with the union and the company. I was talking to them and it shows the commitment that the company is going after these small orders so we can keep the plant open,” Monteith-Farrell says.

Recently the local plant got a contract for 11 commuter rail cars for California’s North County Transit District.

“The price is right and the United States even though there is the American content rule, US states can afford to use Bombardier. That is very encouraging,” Monteith-Farrell says.
