Three people are safe thanks in part to Thunder Bay Police’s K9 unit.
Police say Constable Josh Berube and his canine partner Lucek were sent out to find three people having mental health crises early Thursday morning.
The first happened in the 1000 block of Dawson Road just after 2:00 Thursday morning. Soon after, at 3:45, they were called to the area of Golf Links Road and Windsor Street, followed by a third search for a woman in the area of South High Street.
All three people were reportedly in danger of self-harm or suicide, and the K9 unit searched for 15 minutes to an hour to find each of them.
All three were confirmed safe or taken to the hospital for a medical check.
