Neighbours Thankful Fire Didn’t Spread Further

Next door neighbours to the recently burned Shebandowan Shores Resort are thankful firefighters were able to put out a blaze.

Carter Oliver called in the fire and tells us they were really lucky to get fire fighters to the scene so quickly.

“We are very fortunate that the firefighters were there and that they came that early and the wind was blowing really hard earlier in the day. We are very lucky it calmed down overnight or else we would have lost a lot more trailers,” Oliver said.

Oliver says his place on Shebandowan was safe from the fire but his neighbour’s property was burnt on the outskirts.
