Hajdu: Don’t Get Complacent With COVID-19

The federal health minister is asking you to stay vigilant this summer as the pandemic is far from over.

Patty Hajdu telling Acadia Broadcasting’s John Ongaro that people don’t realize that the virus is still very much alive and well in Canada.

“Yes, we have a number of cases that are reported, but I’m worried about the cases that are just sort of simmering along. Especially those in young people that might not be showing many symptoms or mild ones that they don’t associate with the coronavirus,” Hajdu said.

The federal health minister says many non-symptomatic people may just appear to be having allergies or stomach issues unknowingly passing the illness on.
