A small craft distillery has gotten approval set up shop near the north core.
City Council voted to allow Rheault Distillery to use a property at the corner of Court Street South and Wilson Street.
Based in Hearst, the distillery has been producing Loon Vodka since 2013, along with whiskey and liqueurs. It’s run by Marcel Rheault and his wife Mireille Morin.
Like many distilleries and breweries in Canada, Rheault Distillery switched to making hand sanitizer earlier this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The lot at 77 Court Street South was previously an auto repair service.
