Roots To Harvest Welcomes $15K Donation

$15,000 is going to Roots to Harvest so they can continue to offer programs for local seniors.

The money was donated by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, something the charity’s spokesperson Erin Beagle says came at the right time since there funding was running out.

“Continue to provide some weekly meals or food to seniors who are accessing the Dew Drop Inn. We want to put the money towards that so it’s easier for seniors to access food this summer,” Beagle said.

Beagle says she was surprised to get a call out of the blue from someone who worked for the NWMO who said they wanted to support the good work Roots to Harvest was doing during the pandemic.
