Thunder Bay’s Health Unit is amending its travel recommendations so that people who travel within Canada are no longer required to isolate for 14 days on return to Thunder Bay.
Officials say instead they should monitor themselves and get tested if they have any symptoms or if they think they have been in contact with an individual who has COVID-19.
As much of the City is expected to open up on Friday, government officials remind residents to maintain precautions against the spread of COVID-19 including regular hand washing, keeping a distance of two metres from others, and wearing a cloth mask when physical distancing is not possible such as when shopping or on a bus.
