A man in his 50s is the latest person to be hospitalized with COVID-19.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says at this point they don’t know how he came in contact with the virus.
The Health Unit confirms this is a new reported case and not the doctor at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science’s Centre who was confirmed with the coronavirus on the weekend. He is not a resident of the unit’s catchment area and therefore reports to the health unit in his own area in eastern Ontario.
There are currently three active cases in Thunder Bay and the surrounding area.
