Brides Weighing Options In Pandemic World

Many brides-to-be are turning to each other for advice on what to do with their nuptials during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thunder Bay’s Devin Sdao postponed her July wedding for a later time and says she’s thankful she stumbled on a Facebook group for Thunder Bay brides to hear what they were planning.

“It’s been pretty insightful. I’ve been reading what other people have been posting to get ideas and situations where other brides are at. There’s lot of ideas out there, and I know I’m not alone, there’s lots of brides out there,” Sdao said.

Sdao and her fiancee James Mills were to be married on July 10th at the Bestwestern Norwester, but have since postponed their wedding to September.

They may have to postpone it to 2021 depending on how things unfold over the summer.

She says she’s not sure if they’ll be able to do something special on what would have been their big day on July 10th.

“I was just thinking about that and I said oh, we should do something. But it’s funny cause I think I’m actually working that day now, but I’m hoping we’ll plan something, do something nice like a date night together,” Sdao said.

Sdao notes it’s been a roller coaster of emotions for her noting she was upset at first but now she realizes its out of her control and she’s planning day-by-day.
