Community Safety Advisory Issued

City police are issuing a rare alert about a person they consider a high risk offender.

They say 31-year-old Alan Cory Esquega has been released following a prison term which resulted from a conviction for multiple charges including Aggravated Sexual Assault relating to a 2007 incident here in Thunder Bay.

They tell us he will be living in the Cummings Street area with a number of conditions.

Police stress while Esquega does present a safety risk they say his rights are protected under Canadian law and police will protect those rights if necessary.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
