Premier Vowing To Halt Time Of Use Rates

Word the Ontario Energy Board is looking to bring back time of use electricity rates isn’t sitting well with the Premier.

Doug Ford says he’s going to be meeting with the Minister of Energy and others to resolve this issue with the OEB.

“You’ll hear about that over the next little while but to be blunt I’m not in favour of that. Even though we are compensating Ontarians in the billions on energy but we are going to make sure we protect the people of Ontario and we will do whatever it takes,” Ford said.

Ford says you’ll have to stay tuned to find out more but assures Ontarians he won’t let rates increase during the pandemic.

“I don’t like time of use anytime and especially when people are home during the pandemic,” Ford said.
