The COVID crisis is not only affecting businesses but churches as well, as donations fall off because people cannot attend services.
Bishop Frederick Colli of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Thunder Bay hoping if you can still afford to, donate what you can so the church can pay its bills as well.
“We understand it’s a difficult time for everyone and my pastors, my parish priests are looking at that and even as the bishop I’m looking at how I can support parishes at this time of financial crisis.”
At the same time, Christians around the world are being challenged to practice their faith as they cannot attend church services during the pandemic.
Bishop Colli suggests with Holy Week coming up next week, to keep in touch at home saying “I’ve encouraged people to pray at home by reading the scriptures…or by following religious services, masses, and services that are televised or on Youtube.”
