Top Doctor Pleads For Ontarians To Social Distance

There are no more excuses if you still aren’t social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic according to Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health.

Dr. David Williams says it’s simple, they have told the public over and over again to self-isolate if you have symptoms, and if you don’t have symptoms stay away from others to prevent the further spread of the disease.

“You know what to do, you can prevent it, you can protect yourself, it’s not something that is mysterious. We’ve told you the evidence around the spread of COVID-19,” Williams said.

Williams went on to say, “If you choose to do the activities, that’s foolish, perhaps a better word is a stupid thing to do. It’s irresponsible and inappropriate for yourself, your family, and especially for the vulnerable populations in Ontario. If you take action we think in the next week can flatten the curve.”

The Chief Medical Officer of Health says every government official has been telling you to maintain a distance from others, it is now your job to follow their advice.
