Mauro Setting Up Mayor’s Task Force

Bill Mauro is setting up a Mayor’s Task Force after City Council greenlit the idea at Monday night’s meeting.

The Mayor told Acadia Broadcasting’s John Ongaro he will be in discussions with people he would like to be involved in the COVID-19 group.

“A lot of what the City Clerk is tasked with is likely to become part of the work of the task force. I’m not looking for any special authority,” Mauro said.

Mauro went on to say he has an idea of who he would like on the task force but isn’t prepared to name names just yet because he still needs to speak with them.

The Mayor was surprised the task force garnered a lot of discussion at Monday night’s council meeting.
