It’s here! The first trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife has arrived. The movie has some serious ties to the original, with some of the O.G. stars scheduled to make appearances, and Jason Reitman as the director/co-writer. His father Ivan Reitman directed the original, and is a producer on this one.
The trailer focuses on Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) who discovers some old Ghostbusters gear left to him by his deceased grandfather. It seems that grandpa was one of the original Ghostbusters but they don’t make it clear which one. Paul Rudd is on-board as a teacher who gets involved as well. I’m super pumped about that, I love Paul Rudd! Something I particularly enjoy in the trailer: the movie was filmed in Alberta, and it looks like a plate of Timbits make an appearance!
