Jumpstart My Heart?

Straight from the ‘I called it’ file: Motley Crue have decided to reform and will be touring in 2020. It wasn’t that long ago (2014 actually) that Motley Crue signed a legal document preventing them from ever touring again, and they went so far as to say they’d not reform for any amount of money. Well…I guess some things are too good to pass up on. Maybe it’s the touring package? Maybe it’s boredom? Maybe Tommy is tired of wearing pants and needs and excuse to run around in a thong…in any case, they’re getting the band back together and hitting the road with Def Leppard and Poison next year. Admittedly, I’d love to see Def Leppard as I’ve never seen them, I’ve seen Poison a half dozen times and they are so much fun every time, so I’d go again. As for Motley Crue…I’ve never seen them either but unless Vince is going to get in shape and get some singing lessons, I don’t think I’d even bother any more! I do find it funny that the band announced their return to touring without actually appearing in the video. In fact, it’s Machine Gun Kelly who played Tommy Lee in the Netflix movie ‘The Dirt’ who does the narrating. Maybe it isn’t the real Motley Crue doing the tour? Perhaps it’s just the guys from The Dirt getting together to lip sync the band’s greatest hits album?! For some interesting quotes about the retirement (no one is talking about the tour officially yet) check out an article from Rolling Stone magazine here.

No official dates have been listed yet, but I’m guessing it will be all big stadiums. I can’t see any casino stops on this one! It does seem like it would be a fun, nostalgic romp for all the fans involved. I won’t be there but maybe you will! Would you go?
