It’s not the end of the road for a former Thunder Bay resident who lost her bid to appear on the cover of Maxim men’s magazine.
Sherry Navoy’s quest just ended at number 5 in the quarterfinals, but she adds she’s caught the eye of many agencies around the world.
“I’m on-line, there’s this model management company, so I started a page for myself. And, they show you castings that are international, so there’s been some casting agencies that have sent me some things to apply for.”
And, she tells us the support she received from Thunder Bay was incredible, including good wishes from the magazine.
“So Maxim, they sent out some emails of encouragement, with some updates. And one of the emails they said ‘You’re in the 1% of the total competition that you’ve come this far.'”
The former resident adds the support she received from Thunder Bay was amazing, and she’ll be back here next summer.
She made it to this point, passing over 30,000 other women from around the world.
