The organization deciding where to store Canada’s nuclear waste is having more public meetings to help figure out the final answer.
Petronilla Ndebele is with the Nuclear Waste Management organization, and says there’ll be open houses.
You can show up at the Hornepayne Legion Branch on this Tuesday, from 11am to 8 at night, and the next day from 8am to 3pm.
She adds meetings will also be Thursday and Friday, at the same times at Manitouwadge.
A final decision of where to store the waste will be made in 2023, with Hornepayne, Ignace and Manitouwadge competing with two southern Ontario spots.
