Beer Store Lawsuit Dismissed

A class action suit, launched against the Beer Store four years ago, has been dismissed by the Ontario Court of Appeal.

The suit alleged consumers were paying too much for their suds because of an agreement the Beer Store signed with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario in 2000.

The case was seeking 1.4 billion dollars in damages.

The head of the Beer Store says the plaintiffs’ case misunderstood the way alcohol products are sold.
