The Regional hospital has hired a new Executive Vice President to guide research, quality and academics, and be its Chief Nursing Executive.
Dr. Valerie Grdisa took over officially April 1st, bringing experience from her time as a nurse, as well as working for the province in many senior management positions.
She’s also worked with Indigenous communities, trying to improve their health care.
Hospital President Jean Bartkowiak says she’ll report to him, with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes and safety.
