A 41 year old city woman has been charged with impaired driving after being involved in a single vehicle collision Sunday evening, that resulted in her vehicle upside down on the ice below the Boulevard Lake Dam.
The incident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and came to rest on the ice, with the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
Fire fighters and paramedics were also dispatched to remove the driver and provided medical care before transporting her to hospital.
Officers later obtained a sample of the driver’s breath, which resulted in failure.
She has since been released on conditions.
